The 3M DBI SALA Nano-Lok Self Retracting Lifeline is an extremely compact and lightweight retractable lanyard. It has become one of industries workhorses since its introduction in 2012.
Known for its rating of 141 kgs recent testing has shown that this device is more than capable of withstanding these loads.
The Nano-Lok SRL range now has a combined user weight capacity of 190 kg when it is connected no greater than 600mm below the user’s rear dorsal attachment point.
The Nano-Lok SRL range now has a combined user weight capacity of 190 kg when it is connected no greater than 600mm below the user’s rear dorsal attachment point. For an anchor connection greater than 600mm below the user’s dorsal attachment, the capacity is still limited to 141kg.
The 3M DBI-Sala Nano-Lok Weight Capacity Technical Bulletin outlines the specific use of the lanyard in this configuration. It must be noted that users with a combined weight must add 300mm of fall clearance to the charts shown in Figure 4 of the Nano-Lok SRL Instruction Manual.
