Why the right connector matters
A connector is a load-bearing link. Carabiners and connectors join your harness, lanyards, ropes, anchors and devices into a working system. The right one depends on the job: how it loads, what it connects to, and how secure the gate needs to be. Using a connector that is rated and suited to the task is what keeps the whole chain safe.
Match the connector to the connection and everything downstream works as it should.
How our connectors are different
We are an independent height safety specialist, so we stock connectors from the brands we trust and use.
Every connector is rated and certified, with strength values in kilonewtons (kN) and compliance with the relevant standards such as EN 362. Whatever gate security, material or shape you need, you can match it to your system with confidence.
Browse by type to narrow it down: locking carabiners, triple action carabiners, auto-locking carabiners, alloy carabiners and heavy duty carabiners.
How to choose the right connector for you
- Gate security. Screwgate for manual control, twist-lock and triple-action for hands-free, high-security connections. The more critical the link, the more locking actions you want.
- Material. Alloy for light weight when you carry several. Steel for durability at fixed and high-wear points.
- Shape. Oval, D and HMS shapes suit different jobs, from rigging to belay to connecting.
- Rating. Confirm the strength in kN suits your load and system, and check it is certified for the role.
FAQs about Carabiners
What is the difference between a carabiner and a connector?
Carabiner is the most common type of connector. Connector is the broader term covering carabiners and other rated linking devices used in a fall protection or rope system.
Which carabiner do I need for a safety harness?
Use a rated, locking carabiner suited to your harness attachment point and the role. Tell us the setup and we will help you match it.
Are these connectors rated for fall arrest and rope access?
Our connectors are rated and certified for their intended use. Always check the rating stamped on the connector and confirm it suits your application.
What does the kN rating mean?
Kilonewtons (kN) measure the connector's strength. Match the rating to your load with margin, and use locking connectors for life-safety links.
