Why a double action carabiner matters
Double action means the gate needs two distinct movements, typically twist then open, before it will release. That makes accidental opening very unlikely while keeping the clip fast enough for all-day use, and because the gate relocks itself on release, there is no sleeve to forget. It is the practical middle ground between a screwgate and a triple action gate, quick, secure and self-locking. For connections you make and break often, that balance is exactly right.
