Working at Heights PPE
Working at heights PPE only helps if it still works once the full system is on. Gloves need to allow proper handling. Helmets need to work with chin straps, visors or hearing protection where required. Other PPE needs to fit cleanly with harnesses and attachment gear without making movement or access harder than it already is.
At Height Dynamics, we supply PPE for working at heights for rope access, maintenance, confined space and other technical work where the gear has to work properly as part of the system.
How to Choose PPE for Working at Height
Start with what the worker is actually doing once clipped on.
PPE that works on a general site can still be the wrong choice at height if it affects grip, visibility, movement or harness fit. Gloves need to let the user handle ropes, connectors, tools or structure properly. Eye and face protection needs to suit the task without fogging, shifting or cutting down visibility. Helmets need to work properly with chin straps, visors, hearing protection or other gear being worn at the same time.
Then look at how the full setup works under load.
At height, PPE does not sit on its own. It has to work with the harness, the task and the way the worker moves through the job. If it gets in the way of clipping on, handling tools, seeing clearly or moving cleanly through the work area, it is the wrong setup for the job.
