Safety Harness Hire and Fall Protection Hire

For most short-term jobs, the priority is simple. Get the right gear, get it on site, and get on with the work.

At Height Dynamics, we provide height safety equipment hire for roof work, construction, shutdowns, maintenance and other short-term work at height. Our hire range covers harnesses, lanyards and other fall protection equipment for jobs where buying the gear is unnecessary, but using the right setup still matters.

In many cases, the starting point is the harness. It needs to fit properly, stay comfortable through the shift and work cleanly with the rest of the system, whether that means a lanyard, inertia reel or other connecting equipment. If the harness is awkward to adjust, uncomfortable to wear or mismatched to the task, it slows the job down before the work even starts.

That is where Height Dynamics is different. We work in height safety, rope access, confined space and rescue every day, so we understand the difference between gear that is available and gear that actually suits the job.

FAQs About Height Safety Equipment Hire

What is the minimum hire period?

The minimum hire period is 1 day.

That makes hire a practical option for short-term work, one-off tasks and temporary access jobs where buying the gear would not make sense.

What height safety equipment can I hire?

We hire out a range of height safety equipment for short-term work at height.

This includes harnesses, lanyards and other fall protection gear used for roof work, construction, maintenance and similar access tasks. If you are unsure what suits the job, ask before booking so the setup matches the way the work will actually be done.

Can I hire equipment for a short-term job?

Yes. Hire is well suited to short-term jobs.

That includes one-day work, shutdowns, temporary access tasks and maintenance jobs where the equipment is only needed for a limited period.

Can I hire a harness and lanyard together?

Yes. A harness and lanyard hire setup is a common option for short-term work at height.

The important part is making sure the equipment suits the task and the method of protection being used on site.

Is the equipment inspected before hire?

Yes. Hire equipment is inspected and prepared before it goes out.

Do I need insurance for hired equipment?

Yes. While the equipment is on hire, you are responsible for keeping it covered, either through your own insurance or by self-insuring.

You should also have adequate public liability cover in place for the work being carried out.

Who is responsible for the equipment while it is on hire?

Once the equipment is hired out, you are responsible for looking after it until it is returned.

If it is lost, damaged or returned in poor condition, repair or replacement charges may apply.

Can I move hired equipment to another site?

Not unless that has been approved first.

The equipment is hired for the agreed location and should not be moved to another site without prior written approval.

What condition does the equipment need to be returned in?

The equipment needs to be returned complete, clean and in good order, with all parts and accessories included.

It should come back in the same general condition it was supplied in, allowing for normal approved use during the hire period.

How do hire extensions or renewals work?

If you need the equipment for longer, contact us before the agreed completion date.

That gives us a chance to confirm availability and update the hire period properly, rather than leaving the job open-ended.

When is the equipment officially considered returned?

The hire ends once the equipment is back in our possession.

That means either it has been returned to our premises, or we have physically collected it back from site.

Can you help me choose the right hire setup?

Yes. If you are not sure what equipment suits the job, talk to us before booking.

The right hire setup depends on the task, the access method and how the fall protection system will actually be used on site.
