How to choose the right roofers harness kit for you

1. Start with the roof, not the product. Residential, commercial and industrial roofs have different access and anchoring needs. The job decides the kit.
2. Restraint or fall arrest. Restraint stops you reaching the edge. Fall arrest stops a fall once it happens. They need different setups, so be clear on which one your task calls for.
3. Check what is already on site. A kit assumes there is a compliant anchor point or static line to connect to. If there is not, you need to sort that first.
4. Fit and comfort. A harness you can adjust properly and wear all day is a harness you will actually keep clipped in.
