Why double braided polyester rope
Polyester has a useful mix of properties for working rope. It is strong, has low stretch, and resists UV and abrasion, so it holds up outdoors and under repeated load. The double braid construction, a braided core inside a braided cover, gives it a firm, round shape that handles and grips well. That makes it a solid choice for rigging, hauling, tie-down and general-purpose work where you want strength without much give.
One important note. General-purpose polyester rope is for utility and rigging tasks, not life-safety. For climbing, rope access, abseiling or fall protection, use certified static or dynamic rope.
How to choose the right polyester rope for you
- Confirm the use. For rigging, hauling and tie-down, polyester rope is a good fit. For life-safety, use certified static or dynamic rope.
- Diameter. Thicker rope is stronger and easier to grip. Match it to the load and how it runs.
- Low stretch. Polyester holds its length under load, which suits jobs where you do not want give.
- Length. Buy for the task with some spare. Ask us if you need a hand sizing it.
