EDELRID have been making ropes for well over 150 years. They are credited with the invention of "kernmantle" rope in early 1950. The quality of their ropes is renown and ongoing development has meant the modern kernmantle rope is lightweight, abrasion resistant and strong. EDELRID Safety Super semi-static rope is manufactured with low elongation and a sheath that is tightly woven to prevent the ingress of dirt into the core. The construction of the sheath makes it resistant to abrasion and wear from ascenders and other devices. The Safety Super is ideal for rope access, rescue and industrial use.
