The PETZL Rig is a self-braking descender with a multi-function handle that allows descent control and positioning at the workstation without the need to tie off the device. The PETZL Rig can also be used to make a progress-capture haul system and for short ascents. New in 2018 the AUTO-LOCK system allows users to easily position themselves at the workstation without having to manipulate the handle or tie off the device: as soon as the user releases the handle, the rope is automatically locked in the device. The PETZL Rig is recommended for rope access and rescue or anywhere a lightweight technical descender is required.
