I have a whole bunch of rope grabs, ascenders, and fall arrestors etc, so amongst all those the TIBLOC fills a somewhat niche role - I carry it when I'm not carrying a "real" ascender, basically. It's strictly an emergency tool for me. That said, it's light, well designed, and does what it's supposed to.
More of an alpine tool really, or a slightly nicer alternative to prussicing your way outta Compton.
