The PETZL Auxiliary Brake is able to be retrofitted to the complete range of Petzl ID descenders. It is designed to be used to increase the friction depending on the weight of the load and the diameter of the rope. Available in an open or closed configuration depending on application

• Designed for I’D S, I’D L and I’D EVAC self-braking descenders
• May be used to increase the friction in accordance with the weight of the load and diameter of the rope
• Open version may be used to release the rope at any time
• Closed version provides a constant redirect of the rope. Suited for use in rescue kits
• Supplied with screws and tool to fit brake to device
